ORDERS for more than £500,000 worth of Romahome motorhomes made in Cowes have been placed at a recent show at the National Exhibition Centre.
In all, 15 orders were taken for Romahome models, most of them the Dimension, built on the Citroen Relay base vehicle, during the International Caravan and Motorhome Show 2007. “It really was an amazing show,” said Romahome managing director Brian Bailey.

“One of the orders taken was for the most luxurious Dimension we will have ever built. The total bill came to £42,000 but it will be the compact motorhome with everything imaginable. We literally ran out of things to put on it.

“The Dimension has been doing really well this year, following it winning the panel van conversion of the year award at the Motorhome and US RV show held at Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in the summer,” said Mr Bailey.
The company also gained motorhome of the year in the micro class for its Hylo, built on the Citroen Berlingo.

“The awards were made by the company’s peers within the industry, which made them all the more special and buyers have obviously realised their true value.

“Romahome has another major new model in the offing and when the motorhome world returns to the NEC for the next major show in February, we will be ready to reveal all the details.
“It will be a product I’m sure will see strong demand, which should help the company grow and, with it, the Island economy still further.”
