I was back in the UK last week and was amazed at the number of speed-cams and signs……That slowed me down! and I noticed the difference in fuel used/saved in the hire car………..

But it was ALL costs in the UK that really stunned me, everything is so expensive….And today I see in one of the on-line newspapers that the UK is now the most expensive Euro/Western country.

It’s not happened yet, but I expect a down-turn in our tour bookings……… then maybe not, who knows. With fuel and most other expenses cheaper in mainland Europe [and yes you would expect me to say……fuel in Morocco is around 50% of euro prices] are not euro holidays in a Motorhome even more attractive?

I see today that this year the incoming passenger traffic at Malaga Airport has already increased by 37%…………

It has slowed us down, but then I just make sure we start driving earlier :Rofl1:

I think a lot of people are thinking about non essential car journeys, around our home town there are a lot more people walking about and using bicycles

£1.079 at Tesco. Yours need to be cheap as there is no need for cars on that small island and you all live under generator lights.

Previously peaked at £1.48 in 2012 so £1.50 not unbelievable still cheap historically at the moment http://www.racfoundation.org/data/uk-pump-prices-over-time . With ref to it being half that price in Morrocco I bet wages are a lot less than here so really more expensive if you are a local

Getting better
Nope fuel is a minor cost of any holiday, it just needs buying and using. It will mean air flight costs will start to climb and general flatiron will rise, and those damn Arabs will start to get all the money again......how did our oil ever end up under their sand?

I only do around 1500 miles so it can double for all i care. As @Zains Pops says, minor cost. Binned the diesel car long ago as it was to expensive to run compared to a small petrol car.

Take out the fuel tax and and the tax on tax, VAT, it is really cheap here. If the other had the same as us theirs would be very expensive

I remember when it was a couple of US cents a litre. There were riots when it was raised by a cent.

That must only have been the 70's no? I remember my dad taking us away for the day and sticking a £1 on the car around then. Think there was 2* and 3* at the time as well. Put a tiger in your tank :D
