This group was inspired by JO JO who made a thread about knitting.
I'm fatmrsgeorge. Love knitting and crocheting. Not enough time in the day for all the crafts I want to do....

Thanks for the invite - it’s nice to have a place of our own! 😀

My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet about 60 years ago and I have been slightly obsessed ever since 🤣

My woolly crafts also include rug hooking, felting, tapestry and weaving.

Well I can just about crochet, and do odd repairs sewing, but boy do I love to knit. Have just finished doing boxes for my 3 grandsons. am unlikely to be about when they become parents so they will have a box each with a toy, a shaw; a pram blanket (last 2 done by a friend) and a selection of cardigans and jumpers, Need to put buttons on some of the cardis after struggling to get matching ones all have clear ones where garment colour shows through. My sons think I am bonkers and that they will never be grandparents, but I used to think that too. For some reason my page down is not working, hence the rather long non paragraph post.

What a great idea. Try Duttons for Buttons Mail order service . They'll sort you out.

I love to knit. I couldn't crochet to save my life, but it's on my list to learn one day.

I have a bit of a yarn addiction and my stash reached SABLE* status a long time ago.

I love to knit socks, after initially thinking 'why would anyone want to knit socks'.

*stash acquired beyond life expectancy.

Hi everyone and thanks for the invite :giggle: I'm in Ireland.

I use to knit, crochet, sew (hand and machine), and embroidery, but it's so long since I did any of it, I'm a bit rusty on crochet and embroidery.

Last year I sent my wedding dress off to be turned into a Christening gown for my first grandchild's christening gown and it turned out fantastic but I'm going to do evening classes this winter on embroidery to put every grandchild's name and date of birth/christening on the christening gown but I'm not sure yet if I'll put it on the skirt lining or on the outside of the dress.

Do I pay to be a member of this group ? I cant find the link.

Anyway...if you don't hear from me for a few days it's because I'm off to Co Kerry Ireland tomorrow for the weekend, I'll be home Monday...maybe ::bigsmile:

No, it's just a sub-group of the main forum that's included in your annual charge.

I’m Pauline, I enjoy making small crochet items and planting them around places (RAOCK) Random acts of crochet kindness). Only started the hobby a couple of years ago and teaching myself via YouTube.

Hi, I'm Alyson of Allybob. Thank you for inviting me to join the group. I love knitting but don't usually love my finished articles! I do a bit of sewing but not clothes anymore. I used to crochet but seem to have forgotten how as I haven't done any for so long, perhaps I should take it up again. I mostly knit in the winter evenings as I don't like my hands to be idle while watching tv so I may not post much at the moment. I do love to see what other people have made though.
