What a great idea 😄

- To start this "group". I've been motorhoming for 35 years and riding bikes (legally) for 74 years. A bad fall from a ladder 5 years ago meant I had to downsize from my Africa Twin to a 650 Kawasaki Versys, I love the lightness and handling and have added a 650 Suzuki V Strom to my garage. Both are brilliant.

If I sold the van I'd have plenty of room for some more bikes, as it is though I can only have 1....

Maybe a new shed

You need to rethink your life choices, life is to short to just have one bike, i can see two from where i am sat in the living room LOL.

I used to have 3, including the ghastly 110cc scooter, I sold that and the Duke 390 but then Aneta bought a bike, so that takes a parking space in the shed. Not really any more room with the folding trailer behind the van.
At least the Hornet 750 does everything, best bike I've ever had

I managed to talk myself out of a scooter and got a tow car instead. Nothing road based for me, not got time to ride the ones i have, i did half consider clearing out the collection and getting an Adventure bike.

Its still a mystery to me how the Hornet is still a thing, when you could not give them away when they were launched, back in the day. But most of the bike these days are throwback to things that didnt sell well... they just relaunched the DRZ400 with new stickers after 20 odd years.

My mate has a CB500x ( i think) , says its wonderful, but its barely any different to the old one.

I think people now realise what they need , and buy it, nobody ever needed an R1 , but they used to sell thousands, i dont remember the last time i saw one .

It's a twin now, brand new engine, only a Hornet by name it's nothing like the originals

Ahh right, yes i remember now everything is losing cylinders to get through emissions.

So its like the Ford Capri then LOL

When I passed my test I bought a ZXR400 then a ZX6R probably because they looked, and sounded good, but not nice bikes to ride.. Since the new Hornet though I won't be riding any more 4 cylinder bikes. I've seen the light

Makes a lot of sense though. 2 cylinders are lighter, cheaper to make, more reliable, smaller, more torque, absolutely ideal for a motorcycle

Only 53 years here, which scared the cr@p out of me when i did the maths.
