Spring Project.

This has been sat behind the TV for the last 10 years, and in the garage since the last time i raced it in 2005.

Its a Vertemati SR600, one of handful imported back in 2002/2003, and this was the first one sold.

Its now eligible for a new class for 2026, so after being dormant for so long, it needs to earn its keep.



Its been robbed of a few bits, to keep the other one of them that i had going, which went to a sponsor a few years ago, but i have been picking up parts where i can, to get it complete, and running so we can shake it down.

I have swapped out the Supermoto Wheels, and slotted in a set of motocross wheels i had, and some newer forks, which went straight in the original clamps.



Hopefully the new ignition works, its been in a box for 4 years, and a new plug, cap and HT lead will help, just because i have them .

These bikes are not common, but i have a friend who has decent stash of parts and bikes, and he will be building a second one, as a spare , through the summer, to hopefully be ready for September.

Dont ride on the road.

Well it turned out to be a little more work than i had hoped ( which was put in fresh fuel and kick it and it would go) but it runs.

Had to swap out the ignition from another bike, which turned out not to be the issue, but it finally popped enough to give us hope, and then burst into life, it sounds lovely . if a bit loud, but a silencer repack will sort that .

And because it had no kill switch at the point it started , we had to let in run out of fuel which let it get warm enough to show us there are no real leaks.

So a good day's work, need to get an hour on it , then strip and recommission it properly , get the suspension serviced, and then it can go back on display till its needed in September .
