I picked our new Globecar Campscout from SMC Newark in April 2017, within days I New the Thetford compressor fridge was faulty.
I notified Thetford who were really helpful and they informed SMC to order a new fridge and fit it to our van which they did in time for the Bagwell rally.

There was also a faulty graphic which was ordered from Germany.
I had also ordered our van with a Blaupunkt New York media system with DAB radio.
When we got our van home I noticed that there was no DAB fitted...

We bought our P650GJ in 2020 from SMC I have used them for habitation and water ingress service.
I had a few initial problems with the smart alternator which required a Redarc fitting.
I have had warranty work done by them which involved a new step. My motorhome is going there next week for service. I can honestly say their customer service has been excellent with keeping me up to date.
On the last service they collected and returned the motorhome to me in East Yorkshire and filled the diesel to the top.

Expensive servicing and woeful trade-in prices

This company is so hit and miss; their customer service can be good, but you will always be paying through the nose for it. Habitation check, without damp check on Globecar 600 was £350. Fitting a self-supplied lithium battery: £450. But my biggest issue was when I came to trade in my 14 month old Summit Prime 600 for a new 640; some £10,000 lower than I was led to believe I would get when I first bought the 600. Paperwork lost; no record of discussions; conflicting advice on whether to remove or leave added options; very poor communications and ultimately offered a trade-in price some £15,000-£20,000 less than they were intending to sell on when compared with similar used vans on they had on sale. Again, conflicting advice on how the trade in was calculated and very blunt, take it or leave it attitude; felt like I was trading in an old ford escort rather than a premium campervan. Won't be buying from them ever again....

I have been dealing with SMC for 5 years now. I had a Globecar new and ran it for 4 years. Not a thing wrong with it. Always well serviced at sensible money. Traded in against a new Pilote. They sold my old van gave me the money and keep me well updated on the production of the new one.
