Hi, I'm new to motorhomes and looking to work out the back of mine while travelling around Europe. All I need is a reliable wifi signal. The wifi router I have at home runs off a mobile SIM and has unlimited data. I can plug that in the motorhome but I'm unsure if that will be sufficient or if I'd need signal boosters and/or an aerial etc. I could end up anywhere in Europe so also not sure if there's different requirements for different countries. Any advice would be much appreciated. Regards, Hank
"Regarding unlimited data outside the UK if you have a business and you are able to purchase a data SIM from Vodafone Business there will be no data cap in Europe. All of your UK allowance can be used in Europe so if you go for an unlimited deal it will be unlimited in Europe also. I have purchased on this basis having got it in writing from Vodafone that this is the case. I’ve yet to put it to the test though."

Re my previous comment above this has turned out to be illusory and Vodafone do not offer uncapped data in Europe to Business users. Apparently I was 'misinformed' by a member of Vodafone staff.

Boy As far as I know there are no unlimited data deals available in the UK which allow unlimited data outside the UK. None of the providers make this very clear but it will be in the small print somewhere. The most you are probably going to get are the deals with Vodafone, some have been lucky enough to get 100GB per month in mainland Europe. But their deals vary and you can't get 100Gb anymore. Mine is 50GB.

Hi
I have the product fitted before my first trip I shopped around for the right SIM card to use
I chose 3:
which offered a un limited use thought great .
so in March we went off on our trip to Spain and France . It was great as a sky subscriber I was able to watch portrait artist of the year on my Ipad great . everything was great until we reached Spain and found we had no internet.
so we rung 3: twice and said look why don’t we have internet . Went though all the checks nothing wrong . A friend put notice on the rally face book page and this very nice lady came to the van to have a look at the problem . Very quickly this lady found the problem run out of data used my monthly allowance up ugh ugh
so back on the phone to 3: and reply came back . We have unlimited data when in the uk but not in Europe . The next question where does it say that in the contract ?
long pause to say the least not a very good answer was the reply
question are there any company’s that supply unlimited data in Europe

To day the least the product is very good a. Will be great while travelling in the UK
happy days
How do we reply to questions? It isn't obvious so I suggest those posing questions just make a normal post on the Forum. :)
Considering putting mifi into campervan to improve reception. Looked at the 3G 4G outdoor antenna 2x2 mimo ts9 and aircard ac790 lte 4G router. My issue though is which sim. Currently on O2 but travel in lakes and highlands and reception on O2 is poor. Any sugestions folks on data only sim would be gratefully received.
