    I paid a deposit October 2017 To Marquis Durham for my Mobilvetta K-Yacht 80 with upgraded 4400kg chassis. Since then I have been regularly reassured when I CONTACTED the dealer that all was well. It was due off production 22nd April.
    Guess what?…..
    I was informed on Friday 4th May that the van had been built on the lighter chassis, i.e. not as I ordered. ‘Did I still want it?’
    I pointed out that I could have had such a van last October but the payload was seriously deficient. I was then asked what they could do to keep my business!!!!!>>??? A corporate suicide note at director level was a good place to start.

    It has screwed up so many important events, not least accommodation during a three week gap in a house move. The seriousness of the situation did not seem to register with them.

    Communication from Marquis throughout has been abysmal. I always had to chase them for an update on delivery. At the end, to get my deposit back, they wanted me to state in an e-mail that I had cancelled the order, not that they had screwed up the order. (They in turn blamed Mobilvetta) I refused.

    The timeline sequence is below.

    OCT deposit paid at NEC 2017 WITH UPGRADED 4400kg chassis

    Test drive, informed that my model would arrive with enhanced spec.

    9 Oct 2017 confirmed upgrade to chassis had been applied.

    JAN - Everything still on track

    MAR “It looks like the van will be off production approximately 24th April”

    24 April I requested an update - all on track.

    MAY informed van had been built on lighter chassis - not as we ordered. According to dealership, Mobilvetta to blame.​

    Can I qualify this by saying that I'm not usually one to leave reviews but I have to admit to reading them. This strikes me as being a bit selfish at times so I though that I would contribute. When I do read reviews I would like to think that I am smart enough to see past the extremes and come to a balanced opinion before making up my own mind. So here goes.

    Having had a late, low mileage Rapido 803, our fourth motorhome in 20 years we decided we needed a rear lounge and being at a particular point in our lives we decided on new and shortlisted a Mobilvetta MH80 Tekno Yacht.

    From our first visit to the Marquis stand at the NEC show in October where we placed our order right through to the handover yesterday the entire service though the Marquis network has to date been nothing short of excellent. We were offered a very fair PX price for our old van which we improved on selling privately giving us a double bonus. The vehicle deal itself was un-pressured and attractive and the transfer of the sale through to our (local) branch was seamless and connected.

    From order to delivery we made several running changes which I consider our branch Plymouth carried out in a manner above and beyond the remit of the original deal. The staff that I dealt with at Plymouth - Ryan, Luke, Laura and Richard were always well-informed about my purchase, professional in their dealings with me and still very personable and accommodating. It's refreshing to deal with a company that gives it's employee's room to breathe on an individual basis.

    My wife and I bought the van - which is just the absolute business - with the intention that it would be our last - all I can say is if we do buy another in the future Marquis will be my first stop.

    I bought new from Marquise Leisure, ordered at the NEC on the Swft stand.

    Paid my deposit and told a build week of six weeks later.

    Went to collect 6 weeks later, and was presented an ex-demo last years model.

    I did quiery the graphics and 350 miles on the clock, but was told "delivery Mileage" and "Graphics are always changing".

    A week later I was still suspicious and phoned Swifts directly, gave them the VIN number and they confirmed it was NOT a Swift van and was in fact bankrupt stock from a non-existent company.

    Needless to say I wrote to Marquis and demanded my money back £50,000 plus!

    They admitted the deception and and gave me a 4 figure cheque to accept the vehicle.

    I asked for a insurance backed warranty and they gave me that as well.

    I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY
