Really good customer service made changing a van around renewal time then transferring a private plate super easy Would highly recommended Price very competitive and new unit was £30k more but hardly any difference in premium.
I just took out insurance with comfort for our 1st van we're collecting Friday. Very straight forward to deal with over the phone. Great price for a new, high value van and pleased with 9 months European use. Documents arrived the following day.
I was checking the small print though and although it says new for old for 3 years it appears that is only if it stays under 15k miles so probably more like a year and a half for us.
Been with them for almost three years now. I have the added recovery.
Always competitive on price, not the cheapest. Good experience with the initial quote, no silly questions or requirements. Same with renewals.
I added air assist to the back axle & uprated the MH weight, then later added refillable LPG. No problems either time and no 'admin charge' for the changes.
Have only had to use for recovery, I stupidly reversed over a kerb into soft ground and couldn't get out as the drive wheels were on gravel. They arranged a recovery truck to me within an hour on a Sunday. The recovery guy had me out of bother within minutes. I was concerned that they wouldn't send a big enough unit - that was not a problem. They sent one of the huge units for pulling broken trucks & buses.
Bought moho in March- added cherished plate- added drivers- removed plate-changed moho- changed plate-
Got 4 drivers and its £288 a year
Never had a moments problem and nothing has been too much trouble, but I am straightforward and on the electoral register and store on a Cassoa Gold site
Did a quick online quote and it was referred . So I called and wish I hadn’t bothered.
Won’t quote for me because I store it at a property where I am not on the electoral role. Storage would be fine but not a home address. Fine if that’s their rules but, Long story cut short , More or less called me a liar when I wanted to give her an alternate place where I can park it. I can’t recall being treated so badly
I knew my insurance would go up due to change in medical circumstances, but the price hike from C&CC was in my view humongous. Got an initial quote from Comfort and had to make a few phone calls back to ensure all details logged correctly and got a quote £150 cheaper than C&CC. Ever loyal, went back to C&CC, but even with lots of tinkering on factors that may reduce cost it was still nearly £120 dearer than Comfort. So, yet to put Comfort to the test but there’s loyalty and being silly. So, sorry C&CC ( your lady was very polite, very helpful and saw why we were leaving them), but that’s a big difference in cost.
Well done Comfort, several ladies there really helpful and pleasant as well, nothing seemed too much trouble, so it bodes well for the future.
Have been with Comfort for eight years, and have had the misfortune to make three claims, two for stolen catalytic converters and one for a cracked windscreen, all dealt with quickly and no fuss, would recommend.
After sending me info about taking more security measures my ford base vehicle , I informed them I have taken additional precautions when my insurance came up for renewal only increased by £10 . Also had to make a claim for an non fault accident repair bill £1300 all went thru smoothly and premium stayed the same .
Looked at al the different ones to be honest and Saga just kept coming out on top!
We have a fully comp cover included international cover plus GREEN FLAG home recovery on our truck and smart tow car for £300. Personally...we think that is ok?
Really pleased with the Saga team to be honest. If anything...the yearly price can be improved by filling it on line rather than roll over! By that I mean that the saga team charge extra if you do not deal on line.
If the price was to be in relation with the online site all would be worth a 5 Star rating. However...It does try to raise the price if you allow for roll over!
I have been insured with Comfort since becoming MH owners, when I moved house last year and the MH was temp stored on neighbour's driveway they we extremely accommodating and very helpful in changing details of storage of vehicle. Their premium is way cheaper than anyone else I got quotes from and their representatives are a joy to deal with.
As a broker I find Comfort Insurance very easy to deal with, especialy when we first started. The only niggle was Aviva changing the length of time allowed to leave it parked up (in a secure boatyard). I find their newsletter and their whole web site informative and entertaining. I've no reason to change so far.
Just taken out insurance for our new Globecar - very efficient and friendly service, took time to understand exactly how we’ll be using the van and even gave us a refund (after taking out the insurance and paying in full) when I realised the van had a Cat 1 alarm fitted.
Haven’t tested their true value by making a claim (hope I never will!) but impressed so far...
Used Comfort for four years now, have never claimed, and as people have said it's the claim handling that separates companies.
Premium wise, have stayed much a muchness each year, even dropping this year as I had a Vanbitz tracker fitted, which they were happy about. And me!
See no reason to change on present performance.
