Comfort Insurance

Comfort will not insure you unless you own the address or have a rental agreement. Only way to maintain insurance is to take an expensive van lifer policy
They will only record NO Claims Discount with themselves. Any discount you bring with you, they will disregard and refuse to acknowledge if you change insurers.

I got a quote from comfort in March to add European breakdown cover. The original policy without was £380 in December 23. They would charge £82 plus £25 admin fee. I was happy with that but in no hurry cos we’re not off round Europe till June. Called yest to arrange it and they no longer offer the extension, it’s only available with a new policy. Slightly annoying as inevitably the premium has gone up and the whole thing costs £480. I’m down a few quid but the cover is better with a maximum claim value increased from £5k to £10k. I’ll just have to have a nice expensive breakdown. They didn’t charge any canx fees for my old policy.

Just a word of warning.
This only applies if Comfort offer coverage with LV as the underwriter.

If you have to cancel the policy for whatever reason after it has been in force for more than a120 days, NO REFUNDS!

I was with Comfort for over 6 years, until this incident, I found them to be easy to deal with and competitive in price.
