Choose Leisure

I have just made my second purchase from Choose Leisure, I first became acquainted with them in October 2015 at the NEC, motorhome show.

I was looking to purchase an Autosleeper NUEVO, after several years of using van conversions, Timberland and Vantage we both got fed up with the inevitable pinch points and knees colliding with those sting opposite, and pathing 6.4 meters in ordinary car parks was awkward.
My wife had liked the Nuevo for some time but I had always dismissed them saying
“I don’t want a white box, and I want a big opening side door” but none the less I went to the NEC with an open mind and headed to the Autosleepers stand.
It was then that I met Mr Dave Williams (Autosleepers sales director) a very warm and helpful guy, after establishing where I lived he pointed me in the direction of Choose Leisure as being my nearest dealer.

The salesman “Martin” was really helpful, never pushy, totally up to speed with the entire range of vehicles on offer, a very professional and courteous salesman.
He answered all of our questions and fully demonstrated the Nuevo, and I must say at this point I was totally impressed with the overall design and quality of workmanship, truly a Tardis in 5.7 meters.

We were allowed to browse at our leisure and after a “little” negotiation we arrived at a good PX price on our current van, the order was placed.

Upon collection we were given a very thorough demonstration and handover, absolutely lovely presentation and we left happy bunnies.

During the two seasons we used the Nuevo we experienced a couple of minor issues, “Charlie” the service manager always managed to book us in whilst we were camping at Folkestone, and we were never inconvenienced, remedial work done expertly and speedily and on on our way again. Parking anywhere has never been a problem and we use it every day whilst away to visit nearby places,in our opinion it is the ultimate van in size, design, standard equipment and build quality.

At the end of this season and owing to “knee” problems I decided I needed an automatic gearbox. There was absolutely no way that any other offerings from any manufacturer could match the design, quality and convenience of a Nuevo (built in the UK, any parts needed always at hand and service second to none)

From our past experience we naturally returned to Choose Leisure, we got an excellent PX deal and ordered the Autosleepers Stanton( Nuevo but on the Mercedes sprinter, with auto box)

We are now patiently waiting for March 2018 and to pick up our new van from this superb, friendly, professional family run dealership.

In 2013 we were looking for a used motorhome and visited Choose Leisure after looking at loads of vans at other dealers. While looking at the vans on display ( which were all open) we were left alone till we wanted some help. There was a salesman close by all the time we were there. Although we saw a few vans we liked, We eventually bought a new van which was the display model in the showroom.
We got a great deal and paid for the van a few days later with a collection time the following week.
We had a few minor issues with the van over the 3 years we owned it and Choose Leisure were excellent in sorting everything out quickly.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and can recommend them to anyone looking for their next motorhome.

In March 2017, while camping in Kent, I had a Truma gas regulator failure .. My Norfolk dealer agreed to send a replacement to our site and suggested getting it fitted in Kent at their expense.

I booked in with Choose Leisure near Canterbury for what I expected to be a half-hour max job .... Three hours later and bill for £266 for labour and two unnecessary gas tails

They first said it wasn't the regulator at fault and there must be an electronic cut off valve somewhere (there isn't ) and proceeded to pull random fuses ... then he decided there was no gas in the twin bottles (they were both over 50% full) I proved there was loads of gas ... he eventually fitted the new regulator I had supplied and then said it still wouldn't work ... next he decided it must be the pigtails that were faulty ("working against each other" he said ) so he fitted new ones, without rupture protection .... after the three hours we both just wanted to get away so paid up & went on our way.

When we returned to our dealer they refitted the original tails which worked perfectly!
