Hi, I understand Bailey raised the ride heights of certain models due to issues with ground clearance , can anyone tell me the model year it happened before I spend too much time looking for the wrong van please ..

Cheers

The newer Bailey with the grey body are on the slightly higher chassis
We have 2018 75-2 and have never grounded

Ask Simon-Alan Kerr. He deals in Bailey so he will have the full specifications for you.

Stuart o I assume that you are referring to the 2017-9 Autograph II on the Al-Ko AMC chassis. The other non-autograph models have increased ride height / different chassis.
I have 79-6 which has 2.3m overhang and like Just Paul have not had any grounding problems even when fully loaded getting on / off my drive with a slope steeper than any cross channel ferry. However I would suggest that a tow bar would be impossible to have on my unit though.

Went to look at the new 2020 81-6 in the summer because Bailey have made some mods that appealed. Looked same chassis but the side skirts are not so low and the internal floor appeared to step up in line with the back seat which drastically reduced the size of the rear locker but meant 4-6 inches increase ground clearance.

The new Bailey autographs (grey body) are produced on a different chassis now

It would be an autograph as I like the width , either 75-2 or 79-6 probably . I am trying to narrow down my options with alde heating and island bed above 7 MTRS around the 50 k mark so any advice from the experts appreciated ...

We have the 75-2 model 2018.
Never had a problem with grounding and that's getting on and off ferries.
The 75-2 doesn't have the island bed though it's a nearside French bed.

The width when on site is awesome but it does play on your mind when driving through narrow streets and country lanes as the back end is close to 2 1/2 mtr wide.

The peugeot 2.0ltr 160bhp engine is really good and we get 32 to 35 mpg.
The alde heating is amazing.
Any more questions then please ask.

Thanks for your info, ideally we'd like the island bed but we need to physically see one after covid and see what's what ..

I'm sure there is only 1 model that has an island bed.
79-4
Thanks, just checked and you're right, looks like I'll have to dig deeper for one of those ..I'll have to try the French bed for width and take from there . Thanks for the help
