I put my bank details in and was called back straight back away by a nice foreign gentleman who also said I would receive a nice Parker pen if i took the 2 for 1 offer in which i get injected twice in 12 weeks. Although he said there may be a little delay in this as it had proved so popular.

I'll add that my lovely 30 something daughter who has been suffering badly from the virus over the last couple of weeks is now on the mend she had a second positive test last week but hopefully her next test will be negative. This is not a nice Virus so take every care.

Queue and Covid, not the timeframe of when you are due to get the vaccine but here in Mid Sussex some who have been called for the vaccine have been in a queue at the centre with a 2 hour wait and then another 1/2 hour after the jab. Hopefully the timeframe for the actual process will become shorter as they get more used to it. Not at all a moan in fact a big thank you for all those that are involved in the process.

OK I'm never optimistic, but giving millions of people half a dose of vaccine sounds like the perfect way to evolve a vaccine-resistant variant.

Remember the fully protected two vaccinations can be up to 12 weeks apart with Astra Zeneca vaccine so the projected date could be at the end of that period, so the lower level of protection following the first dose could be much earlier than calculated date.
Please correct me if wrong.

I think cases are rising so fast they want to get as many first doses as possible done to try and reduce hospital admissions. I can see why that could be required but if it's that tight surely they ought to delay all schools returning and shut places of worship and have a night-time curfew etc etc.

As I understand it the protection at 21 days was around 70% the second dose was to be administered UP to 12 weeks after, again as far as I understand it the protection level at 12 weeks has not been published, so this is the judgment that has been made that the level of protection is high enough at 12 weeks to save 000s of lives
