Just put the screws back in with some sealant ( maybe shorten them just they are to long without the brackets attached)
Glad the screens were worth getting
Yeah I think I'll just put a couple of stainless steel screws in.

The screens are great thanks again for finding them

Bargain too for genuine silver screens , the guy said when he bought his new van it came with a brand new set hence selling these.
I've bought a set of tailor made internal ones too for £40 ice to pick up a bit further north . So gives me option of using either or depending where I'm parked up .
And over winter at my mums I'll fit both sets and it should be nice and cosy ?

At least I have an excuse for" misplacing" things Tam, (MS/short term memory loss). You only have galloping old age lol
Try looking in your safe.
I didn't misplace it I put it somewhere safe

I just cant remember where that is right now ha ha

I assume that the Silver screens are the same as ours in that there is a flap that fits inside the sliding window. Be careful not to pull it too tight as it puts extra stress on the catch that you intend to glue. I’m always careful in case I break our catch. I also have a short reaction of plastic strut dropped into the bottom track to prevent it opening, which I presume you have anyway due to the broken catch.

Yes at the minute I have a bit of wood that slots in between frame and window to stop it being opened , i plan to replace that when home with a piece of aluminium angle
I'd just like to repair the catch for added piece of mind really ...but as I can't find it ...that's unlikely lol.

Oh and yes that's right the silver screens are the same with the flap coming in window

Does anyone else suffer from that problem when you put something "somewhere safe"
And then completely forget where that was ??

A friend put all his various membership / credit /debit cards he didn't want to take on a skiing holiday "somewhere safe" and even had a backup plan of telling someone where he'd put them.

When he got back, he couldn't remember where he'd put them or who he'd told! He only found them several years later when he moved house ? ? ?
