I have just fitted a fridge fan and am wanting a 12v feed and negative from the rear of my domestic tech tower fridge. I thought I had it sorted but failed. I used the top two wires with black conectors the red and white one. I have also included a picture of the cover stating which wires. Could someone point out the correct ones please. I would like a constant feed and not just when on 12v input ie when on gas.

Thank you in advance

Gary

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I want to run the fan when on gas or EHU or AES though may not depends on how warm it is. Thanks again

In that case stick a multimeter on the various connections and see which, if any, remain live on all individual sources and of course turn off when the main switch is off.
There must be something to control the PCB.

You will need to fit an on/off switch or thermal switch if you want a permanent supply but switchable when required.

Tony is right. The 2 heavy cables are for the 12vdc heating element so are only live when that option is selected and the demand is there.

If it works on gas and 240V, the cooling circuit is fine, and the fridge controller is getting 12V to work the controls. Often fridges are wired so that they only work on 12V when the engine is running. This is to avoid flattening the batteries if it's left on 12V accidentally.

The power to run on 12V is a second supply going all the way back to the starter battery. It is entirely separate from the fridge controller 12V supply.
