On our way to Bratislava and just checked campercontact to see that apparently the parking along the Danube is now closed. And the campsite just outside the city doesn't open until May.

I don't suppose anyone has been recently and can confirm or deny that the parking is closed? Any suggestions of somewhere else to stay?

Stayed autumn last year, walked from there across the bridge to the Soviet war memorial at the top of town and back - good day out!!

So the Danube parking is still open...the review on campercontact saying it was closed is incorrect. But currently about half the area is currently taken up by a huge tent getting ready for the IXPO technology fair at the weekend so finding a spot to park up was a challenge. Managed to wedge ourselves in in the end though, had a quick explore of the town and met up with a couple of work colleagues for a drink.

Can recommend Dunajsky Pivovar (one of the boats moored along the river) for a nice local meal.
