have you ever had the misfortune of having to put a claim in

My mate who has a farm has claimed twice in the past 10 years both large claims and both were dealt with quicjly with no fuss which is nice to know

Used them for our first year of new van ownership as they didn't insist on a tracker or Thatcham approved alarm. In year 2 they were 50% more expensive than Comfort so moved away from them.

Their insurance doesn't include recovery of motorhomes over 3500kgs which is fine on new mohos, whilst the vehicle is covered during the warranty period

We have our house and my car with the NFU. Always competitive and helpful. I’m going to try them for the M/H too when my renewal comes up with Comfort.

One of the things that attracted me to NFU was the no limit windscreen cover and the option to use a non preferred replacement company, for a small increase in the excess charge. That means for £25 you can choose to have it replaced with original parts not an XGlass copy.

Well had a surprise today decided to ask NFU for another quote with the wife as a named driver not sure how it works but it has bought the premium down by another £75 with 2 drivers instead of just me

Another vote for NFU. I ha e everything with them, cars, van, house.

When my wife had her suitcase stolen last year they paid out within 7 days asking only what value did we think was in the bag - which was around £1000. No fuss

Mine went the other way when I took Joyce off the motorhome insurance, it went up by about £50.

The reason apparently is that they would expect the second driver to recover the moho if the first driver is incapacitated saving the insurer sending a driver.

I think there are several reasons for this. As mentioned above recovery if incapacitated but also more likely to share driving when tired or not feeling well. Possibly some issues around some drivers (though obviously not funsters) driving when unfit.

Rang this morning and was told ‘NFU are not currently competitive in your postcode and wouldn’t quote’

Comfort however were very helpful and well priced.
