I have just about recovered from laughing just a little bit at Gus teething on any sticky outy bit of Robert, good job he is wearing trousers me thinks.

He is gorgeous. That fabric dog is as big as he is!

poor Robert, I remember bringing home 2 special needs puppies, who at 8 weeks were still looking to suckle. They found poor Ronnie was the wrong sex to have boobs, but found something else that dangles instead. God did it make him yelp at first, but he then laid down and lifted his leg to help access.

He is fast asleep and snuggled against it at the moment, he's had a busy day for a baby.

That's two nights Gus has not needed to go out for the toilet and as slept solidly all the way through, although I do tend to wake up and check on him a lot.....he sleeps beside me on the sofa.
Today when Robert got up I just looked at him and said 'when I've done your coffee & toast i'm going to bed' so that was him on Daddy duties, he's a good soul.....I had started to forget how comfy our bed is.

Forty years ago I tried to grow a beard, grew very quickly but grew almost white. Hair on head was very dark brown then.
Not liking this growing old at all.

It is, the amount he has grown and the things he has learned you'd think we had him for a month, not less than a week......He is picking recall and 9 times out of 10 he will sit when you ask him......we are just working with his natural talent, the rest should follow nicely......cross fingers.

I don’t think you will have any problem training Gus. As your well aware border collies are the smartest dogs out.

He is a good boy, not as quick with his toilet training as Gabby was, but she was exceptional, Georgie was a challenge....lol....if he ends up being somewhere in between we will be happy. The way he runs back to me when I call him and sits gazing up at me is really encouraging, i'm just tying in the commands for him.
He is a fab little pup...

Gus is still young, sounds as if he’s doing great. I’m reminiscing back to when Blue was a pup.
I’m not getting another so will enjoy watching Gus grow up instead.

Introducing Gus's parents......the red & white is his Dad and the Tri his Mum.
Our vet reckons he is going to be a big boy......well someone has added stilts during the night.

Gus has had his first jag and check-up and signed up for his for years care package including puppy party.

I have added onto MrA's OP so that ALL the original broody bunch & others of course can see the difference from day one up-to-date.
Gus went to his first 'Puppy Party' run by our vets on Thursday 6th, he loved it and wore himself out. The other puppies could all run underneath him without ducking if they wanted to.

The last one is Gabby watching a 'sheep' programme, a bomb could go off and she would just carry on watching...….

Age wise he's approx. half way towards his balls going west......
