SWIMBO is taking me to see the illuminations straight after the NEC show and we were wondering which of the 3 designated council carparks is best to access the seafront etc.

The one nearest to South Shore(Pleasure beach) then catch a tram and travel the full length of the lights and return the same way.(y)

Yes I agree the open top heritage tram is the best way to see the lights. I think it was £6 each to go on it. It takes you to the other end of the lights and back, you can get off at the other end if you want but not back on again.

Or you can do it the opposite way - park for free on Fleetwood promande car park and get the modern comfortable tram back to Blackpool Star Gate.

Don't want to put a damper on but you'll be lucky to get into the approved m/h parking during the illuminations.

Couple of years ago we used a CCC Temporary site at the Cricket Club then drove the lights ourselves. Need to be a CCC member of course but it was very reasonable.
