Hiya All,

I ma sure this is an annual thread but I am looking for some suggestions of sites that have been visited by you smart funsters that allow you to avoid any fireworks for both Nov and New Year.

Our Collie hate any loud noises or bangs so fireworks drive her to distraction. Short of vet sedation there is nothing that will keep her calm (we and the vets have tried them all). Thus I am hoping that you can recommend sites and locations that is firework free and would stop our little girl being so scared.

Just to help we are based in SE Wales

All help gratefully received.

A better way to avoid them might be not to go out at those times - or is your home affected by such things?

Unfortunately we are close to Caldicot Castle - so big display there and in Chepstow with everyone setting off in their gardens from the Friday through to the Monday :-(

Purchase and play the CD in the link below as soon as possible for a few days and your border collie could start to understand that these are the normal sounds of life and may no longer become upset by them.

Amazon product ASIN B005LFOVWW
Works best with young puppies but can be of benefit for some older dogs.

I was at Bristol, last NY. Very quiet there (to my surprise).
