France,Germany and Spain are now handing out heavy fines for A frames. It is only safe on a car trailer, people say they turn a blind eye toit seems since we decided to leave the market the not quite so blind my friend has been fined. the A frame manufacturers say systems are okay. it is also the law in the UK that a car cannot be towed by another car only in recovery, police here do seem to turn a blind eye so far.I Use one here in the UK

We have just arrived at tarfrout. It's hot and a lot quieter than last year, but we are 2 weeks earlier.

We stayed at camper contact 20816 or the last 5 nights. Only 9 miles from agadir, north, a great site, spotless toilets and hot hot showers, a brilliant place. The usual sellers come around but are a benefit not a hassle. And the local town is about 2 miles away

IMO about 3 weeks too early for Tafroute - a good rule of thumb is when the almond blossom is out, then its warmed up enough up there.

Sorry but we much prefer it this way. Morocco is beautiful whatever the weather. We don't particularly like the coast.

If you mean Carlos then yes. If you want to book a ticket just turn up, most people turn up on the afternoon, get the tickets, do a big supermarket shop, park up overnight, with the other 50 vans, and sail the next morning. It's less than 10 mins drive to the port.

Yes Carlos it's it's not about booking a ticket, I'm towing a car on a trailer and wanted to know if this was a problem in Morocco and what the extra charges is. from all the Morocco threads I've seen that does not seem to be many people towing cars. as we tend to visit Italy Sicily and then up to the Scandinavian countries we really need a small car for touring.

Many French have cars/beach buggys and motor bikes on trailers, and some Germans, here at tafrout there is a British motor home with an enclosed trailer, they have a fancy motorbike.

Another sunny day here in tafrout. Over the last few days about 60 'hippy trucks' have arrived and are parked at the top end. It appears that we have the 'maroccan cycle festival 2018' this weekend. With 'electro' music until 1am !!!, ear plugs in again tonight.

Good luck, just expect delays.

We went to the blue rocks here in tafrout, it looks like all the 'hippies' have relocated there. Also looks as if a major rave is taking place tonight, 2 large trucks full of music speakers. What a great place to hold one .

Just pleased we didn't decide to spend a few nights there.

According to Ian, a brittish caravanner, I yesterday accidentally stumbled across a scheduled funster meet up venue at Gite Amridhil, Skoura. I'm guessing there may be rather fewer attendees than planned. (I'might assuming I successfully uploaded the photo, so you can see what I mean).20180129_080337_resized.jpg

It can't be Graham and Janes group or can it?. I saw a photo of them yesterday on camels in glorious sunshine.

I've been in Morocco (south of the high atlas) for 11 days, and the weather has, on the whole, been glorious (Sunny; 20-25C+).
So I can't complain. Moreover, I seem to be stuck with dwindling food stocks. So I can maybe take the opportunity to lose some weight :).

I was just looking at the weather in midelt, snow and a maximum of 3 degrees tomorrow.

We left tafrout this morning, but whilst there we came across a real find,

She is a very smart lady, who comes by car to the wild camping. She hands out a menu, we had a brilliant chicken tagine delivered to our van at exactly 7pm as agreed. She does laundry for only 10dr a kilo, came back same day and perfectly folded, swmbo was impressed, must be good. She also sold cakes and pizza from her car as well. Het menu says 'chez nezha'

She been there last few years, I agree good on her, have tried her pizzas, although she can be a tad pushy,

Out of curiosity, are you heading back? Midelt is quite a way from Tafroute which way you heading.

If you look in resources TerryL has put up the procedures for entering, if no one else is travelling over,
All I will say once you get to the border control/customs in Morocco,
Take your vehicle import documents that Carlos done along with your passport to the office yourself as it is a bit of s free for all. Unless that is the police officer has asked for them,
Don’t worry about going thru, all part of the fun
Good luck

Your going to love Erg Chebbi, beware it gets very cold at night especially at this time of the year. Plenty of places to stay, we stopped at one of the hotels along the edge of the sand dunes, most of them accommodate motorhomes.
