I'm not sure if some kind of mechanical insurance would be the right thing to do, the van is 9 years old now, with 88K miles on the clock, although I have maintained it meticulously from new. Still on the original clutch.

What would people advise? ADAC? or CCC Arrival (RAC backed)

Should the 21st May read Jönköping-Malmö, and 22nd read Malmö-Flensburg? Whichever way, the km are underestimated..

ADAC no longer avalibale to UK residents & C&CC Arrival will cost a fortune. Best options either change insurers, Comfort charge £60 breakdown cover, Safeguard it's included, or open a Nationwide Flex Plus account (includes breakdown cover up to 7.5T) cost £13 a month but you get ½ half of that back in interest if you keep 2.5k in the account and no charges for withdrawalls worldwide.

Thanks Flatlander you're right I've cut and paste the excel once too often....... Google maps has Jönköping-Malmö as 292 and Malmö-Flensburg 353, so with the final estimate it's still shy of 9000Kms.

Seeing anything in particular?

I've listed all the UNESCO sites and special city tours etc. the Preikestolen of course, Lonely Planet is heavy on museums which I may do a couple but I'm hoping to drink in the scenery and the majesty of Slatibartfasts' work the fjords.
