So,

We have a width restriction near our house. Its in a bad position, always getting damaged, by trucks and people driving diagonally across the pedestrianised centre.

This morning, for the second time in 5 years, I scuffed my alloy on the broken, loose kerb. The council do not maintain it properly and someone has even knocked the end off it when I went back to photograph it.

Should I, can I claim from the local Authority? I did not bother last time.

I was thinking of Using Resolver ?

If you decide to claim I can recommend Resolver as the way to go. I recently had to use them to claim against Valspar 'smelly' paint and was successful. I really think I would've been fobbed off otherwise. Excellent company. (y)

Tried a good few years ago to claim off the council and two separate solicitors refused to take it in on as the local council had a massive legal dept and nearly unlimited funds . So they said I would be wasting my time and money . Not trying to give any advice just my experience. (y)

Well I pay them £2,300 a year and I am only here 1/2 of that.

For information that is a 'Titan' kerb, most unforgiving. I used them for traffic management at work and to protect ticket booths, very effective when installed in the right place.
