We were looking to relax with some bottles of Bernard beer we picked up in the local Kaufland and found a nice Dutch campsite so thought we would have a look. Not far away was Trebic that had good reviews and we had time to have a visit as it was only a few miles out of our way.
Not a great deal there really, a big long square (as usual), a Jewish quarter and a big church.
We started off at the big church up the hill.

This is where the town was started by the local monks.
The tourist information place is near here and they gave us a map of where to go. We walked back down the hill into the jewish quarter.

This is just a collection of small streets and houses but there is a Jewish cemetery at the top of the hill which seems to be a bit of a pilgrimage. It is another UNESCO site in its own right.
Back down the hill, over the river and into the town there is a big square. There was a market in it but it was completely lost by the size of the square.

We only spent an hour here before travelling to the campsite we had picked out nearby.
Camping Vidlak is run by a dutch couple who are very friendly. They started it years ago because it was cheaper than starting a campsite in Holland. Its in the middle of nowhere but has everything you need. Its another ACSI site set by the side of a lake and is really well looked after. We wanted somewhere to relax and drink beer. The weather was hot and sunny.
