Nestling in just above Nice is this Beaux village.
We came in via St Laurent du var on some roads I would not recommend. There has to be an easier way in and out as we located a similarly "why has the sat nav taken me down here" road.
There is an aire of sorts, or dedicated motorhome parking for visitors, but it is free, which was a problem as cars had to pay, so they parked in our Napoleonic given free spaces. This was annoying as I couldn't block them in. We drove up the road further and as you go up there are motorhome sized spots on the side of the road. We ended up parking here. https://mapy.cz/s/muvatarolo But whatever you do reverse out and turn round. Do not follow that road out !
We cycled back in as it was 2.4 kms so there must be better places, unfortunately we noticed the coaches. Loads of them. Yes Japanese tourists with their selfie sticks. Yes I did go stand unbelievably obviously in front of them when they were trying to take a photo as they had done precisely the exact same thing to me. I don't know whether "C'est la vie" translates or not, but the wife didn't even tell me off.
It reminded us both of Carcassonne. Very very pretty (prettier than Carcassonne) but really tourist heavy. Several restaurants with views over anitibes and some no health and safety inspected ramparts.
Really pretty so go early or late afternoon/evening and I although overnighting is an option, it is hilly and I would suspect busy til late.
Well worth going though.
