Yet again, and fully expected for our last week, we have been on weather watch.
It was a relatively slow road up to Lessay on red tarmac.
Our window of opportunity was until 1445 hrs according to weather reports so a 30 km round trip out to St Germain sur at up to la Haye and back on the voie vert was the plan and if we saw dark clouds incoming we could hammer it back.
First part was generally cycle route, unmarked then a road to join up with another cycle route
When we got to la plage we could just make out Jersey (honestly)
And some very well priced vending machines at 9 euros for 1.8 kg of modules and 12 euros for 2kg of no3 oysters.
One of the markers of liberation.
The cycle on a cycle route to la Haye on their perfect red tarmac road with occasional muddy tractor marks from fields and the not open church
Hotel de ville
But then we found a the side entrance into the church
We found the aire which is free and surprisingly better than it looked on P4N. Water was one tap and available for toilet emptying
The voie vert which goes cross country, to Cherbourg, and to Lessay (Mont St Michel) really good hard surface, wide and covered by trees mainly and really flat.
Our aire at Lessay
And when we got chance a very quick stroll through town revealed a nice church but wedding ceremony ongoing.
Leaving us with a 999 piece Action 2.99 jigsaw puzzle and a game of hide and seek for the 1,000th piece
Edit
The hunt began with furniture being removed, torch out, bending under tables, carpets up and moved on to me going outside and opening passenger door requesting Paula to move chair round when she spotted it. Bleeding miles from where it should have been
