Having gone to Lidls and got 2 huge duck breasts for 8.49 I ventured down the middle aisle whilst she sorted out the sundries required.

So went to la Haye where there are 4 voie vert routes. We cycled in on one of them yesterday so took the west coast path to Barneville
Excellent double width hard firm path with evidence of horse usage.
We got to the Cherbourg junction and went left on the better looking path
Excellent road crossing
And a highlight of a "tunnel"

Before an abrupt end of disused railway line at the station. Port bail sur mer
Excellent little stop here with arched bridge for tidal flow
picnic spot just over bridge with good photo exhibition
We trundled on on v q roads passing free aire at barneville
before lunch beside the beach looking at a clearly visible Jersey (you have to trust me here)
Port bail was deemed worthy of a walk near the open church and liking the stained glass shadows
