October 4th. As usual I was up around 7am with Reggie's first constitutional of the day. He tends to have one or two before breakfast and maybe another few afterwards.
I did the cassette as we weren't that far from the motorhome service area. When we came to go another van got on there before us. I lined up whilst he drained the grey. Then the cassette then filling with fresh... so fifteen minutes later we dropped the grey.
Once away we were on the A75 towards the Viaduct. We have been over it countless times in the last 20 years, either on the bike or in the car as well as the moho. But we have never stopped at the aire to have a look.
Firstly a walk up to the viewpoint, then back to the restaurant for a coffee and a cake.
And then the lower less uphill thigh straining viewpoint.
Back on the road the Béziers where the TomTom had a loon and started taking us north instead of west. Once reset we had lost so much time we took the A9 and A61 at a cost of €9.35!
At Moux the van was going into my friend John's garage until Monday whilst we spent the weekend at a house party for his 70th.
An eclectic mix of British, French, Czech and Canadians...almost forgot the Scots...
All people that John and his wife called friends and relatives.
We had a walk around over the weekend. Moux (the X is pronounced). It's a lovely village.
One of the other guests came from Honfleur. He and John are members of the Corvette Club France. I took a quick photo before they left on Monday morning.
Then we were ready to go as well.
