We decided that we would use the Shuttle for this trip.
This is when we found out that we could only use £85 worth of Tesco vouchers (doubled to £170) if we booked a return crossing. I had thought of a single crossing on the train, and a leisurely boat tide home. Wrong.
Luckily, it was still February and I was yet to have my "turn", and there was the 20% discount on fares. Even so, it was still more expensive than the short ferry. The £48 over the £24 for P&O's pet lounge is still something that wrangles!
After all, we take the dog to the check-in. They sit behind the counter and protective plastic window. We scan the microchip and they check it matches and look for the rabies/worming.
The plan, such as it is, is to make our way to Aulendorf to visit the Cathargo Malibu factory and aire. From there? I have to idea. I do fancy the Black Forest, maybe the castle road?
