Russell Crowe film A Good Year was part filmed in this stunning Beaux village. Magnificent from the outside, it is very good inside for people watching. If you havent seen the film it encapsulates the way of life around here nigh on perfectly.
There is an aire at the top of the village but that means parting with Euros so down the bottom of the hill for us next to some form of medieval village huts that people pay to go and see. A walk up to the village then entails and this is where the best views of Gordes occur (in our opinion) and walking all the way up the hill having saved 10 euros means buying a leffe or 2 !
