After another year of going on the short ferry and driving down through France, we decided that we'd book the long ferry again. We hadn't been on our autumn 2025 by this time.
Of course we did the calculation about time and distance and to drive or not to drive. In the end the long ferry from Plymouth to Santander is costing about £500 one way.
I got an email from Brittany to say that the Spain ferry fares for summer 26 had been released. I couldn't log in until 8am the following day. I guess people sit on the internet waiting for the page to open! We though we'd go again in May or June. I set the outward date in mid June.

We wanted a pet cabin and the cheapest available. Gradually I worked back sailing by sailing until May 20th before there was a pet cabin. It was outside too! So I booked it.
Now to consider the journey to Plymouth from Kent to be there in good time for a 3.45pm sailing....
