We were intending to go to Albarracin, we knew it would cost us 14 euros but hey ho. We got to the aire having not seen the pretty side of Albarracin and it was a 12 foot fenced high area with some form of intercom entrance system and a couple of kms from the town. We decided that the better option was 9 kms up the road to another 6 euro aire.
As we went further up the river we could see broken banks, we had already noted flood warnings nearby further down the same river on Google, and also seen an incoming storm (probably going to cause the floods. Work was ongoing clearing the roadside gullies for this impending storm.
We got to the cascade which was nothing like the photos as it was hammering over the top. The steps down were a small cascade.
Having taken our photos we moved on to the aire but they were flood clearing on entrance. Bit of a shame as there is a gangplank gorge walk (assuming it was open) opposite. But our theory at this stage was based around safety and hoping it is here next year.
We tried bolting down the mountain from 1500 m and headed (after some poor work by the navigator) to Motilla del Palancer where the rain continued but we "
boldly" went in search of a kebab house
Then our vodaphone sim stopped working. No reason (unless leaving the hotspot on for a couple of days is a reason) horrendous trouble contacting Vodaphone. Eventually, (and I m talking 2 hours) it worked in Paula's phone if her own sim wasn't in there. But not on the mifi or tablet. Woke up this morning and still wouldn't work but now it works in my phone with my normal sim and can hotspot to tablet.
