From our base at Teruel we took the motorbike to the other side of town about 12 Kms away to a car park, dumped the bike and followed the flat (apart from one bit) path up to the bottom of the dam.
The river was flowing quite fast and was obviously higher than it's normal level.
It's possible to go up to the top of the dam where maps suggest a bar. We doubted it would be open this time of year. There are a couple of what looked not too challenging via ferratas on the route. It said 3 Kms and took us 50 minutes. You can return via a more panoramic walk across the top, but we didn't ! The car park (1st photo) is on p4n just go careful as the entrance is a drop down and better to approach from Teruel for an angle to minimise the drop. A PVC made it easily. I grounded the motorbike but approached it wrong.
After this we went to a cascade in the middle of nowhere using a road for 30+ Kms with no other vehicles. It was bumpy and went to at least 1432 m.
We got to 40.198327 -1.355670 cascada de calicanto. About 200 m from the road
We took a wrong turn somewhere but thought Castielfabib looked interesting on a map with 5 viewpoints. So we headed there and it's a hilltop village through a couple of large tunnels, but no parking inside meant walking up to it. Another day perhaps
