Very late in the day decision to make a semi reasonable appearance at an aire (1924 hrs) as warm weather may get us a beach day finally so instead of heading backwards we decided on the Cherbourg peninsular and as this is a village of character we could have a walk round as well as use the free aire with free water and dumps where there are 7 dedicated homely spaces and a couple of extras (we are in extras) which are line marked but the big line marking is for coaches.
Pretty town as expected, but a walk round it at 2000 hrs mid September is not going to give us the best overview. We would return though.
