I wanted to visit the south German towns of Dinksbuhl and Nordlingen and picked Amberg as it was about half way. There is a free aire just outside the town and you can stay for a couple of days. I had picked Amberg out of thin air but what a nice find.
Classed as a beer town by the tourist office there are a few breweries and lots of nice places to eat.
The aire is a little tight for bigger vans and is always full. We were lucky to get a spot.

There are a few breweries, some large and some outside of the town but right in the center is Schloderer Bräu.
Amberg turned out to be one of the nicest places we went, probably because it was a very pleasent surprise.PXL_20250616_114934083.webp
