It was on the moister side of damp today.

We went from Motilla del Palancar 15 or so kms to Alarcón. The road is straight and if there wasn't incessant rain, probably nice views.
This road deserves to be placed in the middle of Belgium. Absolutely horrendous. 30 mph at times, just awful. The worst part is we had to come back on it.

But the town looked good and it would be good, on a good day. Out came the jigsaw puzzle. But at 1215 hrs, according to AccuWeather, we had a 30 minute lull where it was only light rain. We heard the constant patter on the roof stop, loaded up our waterproofs and got even more rain come in heavier.

The pleasant walk round the outside and onto the reservoir never made into the conversation.

Natives were peering out of their windows wondering what we were up to. A few photos and back to the van for 4 more hours of heavy rain and amber warning.

We came down to Albacete as we could walk into shops there.
