Will record it, I usually watch BH. We met David Harper in his shop last year when staying at Barnard Castle, he's opened a tea room above the antiques shop. I hope you're on his team because Jonathan Pratt never seems to win:Sad:

Looking forward to that.......:thumb:

Anyone else notice that the contestants always make money when they buy in Edinburgh and sell at Anita's saleroom in Glasgow. Todays lot made 500 and 200 odd pounds.
Maybe all the traders should just sell their wares at Anitas ::bigsmile:

The thing I don't understand about Bargain Hunt is why they buy at collectors' fairs and sell at auction. They'd make far more money buying at auction and selling at collectors' fairs.

Give me Dickinson's Real Deal any day :winky:

(Might still watch on 12 May anyway though).

I think the reason they sell at an auction is because it is quick fire, rather than the slower process of selling at collector's fairs.
All the items go into a "general" sale at auction as this appears to be the best way given the limited time of the programme......

Couldn't believe the profits made on today's BH though

Think I'll start buying at Ingliston and going along to Anita's saleroom, as well as the profits they look a happy lot of customers. ::bigsmile:

I think a lot of how much they make is down to area and Auctioneer..:thumb:

Anita is brilliant and seems to get the bidders in a frenzy...

Cannot remember his name but the one that gets up my nose is the bigg`ish guy,, who usually if he has not had a starter bid will say... "Who will give me a Ten pound note":Angry:

Hopefully Paul will be able to take us all out for a slap up meal on his winnings... :thumb::winky:::bigsmile:
