the nearside on is fine, however the offside one acts like a spring as it is only attached on one side and i can't see where else it can go.
anybody got the same problem...........or a solution?

Have to say the worst problem with a Rapido are the legs.
they are just not up to the job.

Never thought about one side or the other they are both useless.

I have no problem with my Rapido steadies, I must admit to not using them as often now we have air suspension fitted

well i bit the bullet and had a good look at the o/s steady.
discovered that it had been bent out of all recognition and the one side was actually bent over the mounting bolts.
one big hammer, a vice and a mig welder have sorted the problem out now.

I hadn't realised that motorhomes had steadies, unless they are those fancy self levelling ones.

Hope my 36 year old does similar. Booked in for next Tuesday. I suspect it won't have such a nice time, but at least the parts are astonishingly cheap and easily accessed.

I have no problem with the steadies on my Rapido. I have only used them once and forgot to retract them before moving off. They work quite well as a plough:roflmto:

many many years! since I was a kid
just fit air assisted suspension.....takes all the bounce out of the suspension if you put a few extra psi in them when parked up for the night. plus it improves road handling. oh and no more muddy knees winding steadies up and down either

No problems with it at all.
They can shout all they like, good kit is good kit and that's what we have.:thumb:
In France, a Dutch couple offered us a straight swap for their Burstner with a fixed bed, bells and whistles.
Not a viable choice.
The joke could have been better....could have been a Rapido.:ROFLMAO:
