You could try this fix, I picked it up a couple of years ago - not used it myself, never felt the need as my radio will come back on by pressing the 'on' switch even with the ignition off.:thumb:

Fiat Ducato Radio Timer - 20 minute timer on new Ducato and Fiat chassis.
(Radio switches off 20 minutes after ignition is switched off)

1. Pull out radio and examine wires from the rear
2. Cut the blue-yellow wire
3. Connect the blue-yellow wire coming from the radio to the red wire (which is a permanent 12v feed)
4. Insulate the end of the remaining blue-yellow wire that leads away to the innards of the vehicle (as it becomes 'live' with ignition)

Have fun

This is a known problem with what I assume is a Ducato fitted radio. It is nothing to do with the supply I believe but is a "feature" built into the radio, no doubt to stop it flattening the battery.

There is a fix which is supposed to work but I don't think it works on all radios as it doesn't on mine!

"The time on can be extended to 3 hours by:

1. Turning the radio on
2. Pressing the ‘FM AM’ button within 15 seconds of turning the radio on
3. Pressing the 2 button whilst holding the ‘FM AM’ button down.

The radio will now play for 180 minutes with the ignition turned off, and this new setting is shown on the set up menu."

Worth a try, it won't do any harm if it doesn't work.

Thanks for that, very like my tip but a bit more detail. I will give it a go.

Well I have tried the easy option of using the radio menu as described above and this did not work.
I didn't think it would as ours is 2011 and it says only works with 2012 models.

If I change to radio for a different model will this work?

A bit of an expensive option but I would like a radio with ipod facility.

Thanks
Chris

Martin1485's method worked on my 2013 Ducato radio. The only difference was when I first pressed "2" and "FM AS" together nothing happened but I pressed them a second time and "Camper Mode" came up. After that I just followed the instructions to get 180 minutes set.

Of course it doesn't work with the key off but if it is clicked to the first position the radio stays on - I had running for over an hour this afternoon, it would have gone off after 20 minutes otherwise.
