This may or may not be of interest. We have a twin 11kg Alugas refillable system, topped it up to the max on 31st March. Spent all week on site at Haggerston Castle South of Berwick, using site facilities from 6pm each evening till 9am next morning. We tend to cook in van from scratch no microwave warm ups so use gas for this.
Our days were spent on Holy Island in rather inclement weather, had our 2 year old grand-daughter with us so OH had the Truma heater on convection set at No 3 all day, fridge and water heating also on gas all day.
Lindisfarne Service station sells gas on the A1 at the Beal turn off for Holy island (£0.69p per Litre), so topped up as we left Haggerston this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find it took only 4.72 litres at a cost of £3.30p to top up.
So all our daytime heating and cooking and evening cooking for five full days plus meal cooking either end cost £3.30. Well pleased. :thumb::thumb:
