Do I need a Rear Marker Board (1 Viewer)

It appears I may need one of these markers to go through Europe, any one know for sure.
I do have a trailer board rearmost of the Scooter rack
any idea of local type suppliers if I do
O'Leary's have them at £5.99 but at + £9.00 postage its a bit sillyoh:

100% certain in spain and 99.9% certain in france.
i dont know about portugal nbut i would think the are required.

if it aint being towed then you have to have a board.

Any Caravan/Motorhome accessory shop will have them and probably Halfords as well (for bike racks)

The forst time I took a scooter to Spain & Protugal I took the view that I may as well play safe, so I had both trailer board & marker. You don't want to have to argue with the foreign plod, you there to enjoy yourself, play it safe. :thumb:

but if your passing on the way to catch a ferry, fiver CASH in the shop, you can claim the VAT back!!!!

Being a Vat registered business, on all purchases for the business the Vat element can be claimed back, this would only apply if it was a genuine business item, in this instance it would not, I do not think the Vat man would accept that the Moroccan tour was to drum up work for the garage
I could if I was so inclined, buy the board for our Recovery wagon, and borrow it for the RV as and when reqd and claim back the 75p VaT
However the pay off would need to be millions before I would contemplate messing with HM Customs and Excise
