Is yours fastened to the wall with screws or did you put wood behind to strengthen it and fasten it with small bolts

I put mine on a wardrobe wall with a backing plate inside the wardrobe to strengthen it, when the bracket is in the stowage position drill a vertical hole (about 1/8") down through the cantilever parts of the bracket, fit a pin, a nail will do, down through the drilled hole, this will prevent the bracket from opening out and keep the bracket in the stowed position for travelling:thumb:

Mine is a wardrobe jobby too, sorry !

I think some bracing behind whatever panel you screw/bolt into would be essential. :thumb:

Because of the original TV mount design we ended up buying a swing arm mount.. It locks but we never leave the tv on it when travelling. We got the vision plus quick release adapter and stow the tv on the rear bed when travelling or parked unnatended for periods. Takes seconds to put it back up.

Our bracket locks in place, TV stays on it when travelling no problem. :thumb:
