Hi Funster computer wizards,
I have these very annoying things popping up, like 'price companion' etc.
I also get sent to stupid pages when I click a genuine link like on an email. When I close the new window and click the link again it goes to the right place. The last one happened when I clicked the 'back' arrow and it askes me if I really want to miss out on winning £88.
Whats going on!!:cry::cry::cry:

Have you got some anti virus software on your machine...AVG? McAfee? Norton?

If so run a scan to see what gets picked up...

If not then get AVG FREE from....

Install, update for latest definitions then run a scan...

Yes, do as Derek and John have said.

If you don't like AVG then Microsoft Security Essentials/Windows Defender (depending on OS) is a good alternative.

If you still have problems investigate to see if you have any rogue plug-ins in IE (better still start using Firefox :Smile:)

I had something like this recently which is a form of virus and that was even with Mac fee total protection you can get it because you've okay ed it at some point.

The way to deal with it if your virus scan doesn't pick it up:

Open control panel
Add & remove a program

In there, you should be able to change drop down box to most recent (I think) anyway what your going to do is start googling the names of each program file until you find the one that is linked to a virus/spy ware which will include instructions on how to remove it.

Hope this helps :winky:

Your browser search engine may have been unknowingly changed when you have downloaded something, they can be a git to remove but the previous suggestions should help. Malwarebytes and Spybot are both good.
Hope this helps :Smile:
