As posted in earlier threads, I fitted a Broken Link Removed to our van earlier this year. At the Harrogate Show on Saturday, Rose Awnings were selling a Thule Door Frame Lock.

They look to be exactly the same apart from the brand transfer on top so I just wondered, are they the same company or are Thule just selling re-branded Milenco products?

The Thule ones are far superior.

I say that not because it's fact , nor because I have any knowledge, but solely on the basis that you bought a Milenco.:thumb:

I don't think so, unless Thule has acquired Milenco, which I don't believe is the case.

Thule is a long-established Swedish company, originally established in 1942. Their UK base is in Clevedon, not far from us.

Whereas, Milenco is based in Milton Keynes and was founded in 1993.

I suspect perhaps both companies have sourced the same door frame lock, but added their own branding.

That would be my take on it.

The only link I am aware of is with Omnistor (as in awnings and bike racks) which Thule bought a few years ago.

I've done some digging and can find nothing so it must be that either one is supplying the other or they are selling products from the same source.

Thanks for the input.

Sorry, Jim, you're completely wrong . . the labels are made in Korea, using adhesive made in Taiwan . . . we import the people to attach the labels from eastern Europe . . . .
