the only good thing about dementia is you get to meet new people every day

I'd rather have Parkinson's than Dementia......I might spill my beer but at least I'd remember where I'd left it....:Blush:

Just in case any newbies watching and thinking we are horrible, we are all joking because it is a coping mechanism ... both my parents have/had it and so have my cousins in their 50's ....:Sad:

It is just fun.

Oh, and gloworm will you switch that light off on your head please? The picture is fuzzy. Thank you.:Smile:

My poor old dad managed to have both, but fear not, I still appreciate the value of dark humour where illnesses like that are concerned and actually found that funny. In fact truth be told, the dementia was a bit of a blessing where the later stages of Parkinson's were concerned.

..and he actually managed to live life to the full as well, which fits in with the thread title.

I fear I may have dementia. I am sure that I know I leave things lying around but when I go to get them I have to ask my wife where they are and she always knows that they have been put away.:ROFLMAO:

I`m a newbie, now 1 year
I was going to buy that graphic at the VW show at Peterborough last year, the only reason I didn`t it was raining and the graphics were on a stall and wet, so didn`t think it would stick on my back window very well, still looking for one though.
::bigsmile:
A member of another forum has that at the bottom of his postings. :ROFLMAO:

True: Just come from visiting mum at the respite home and the old lady sitting next to her (aged late 80's or early 90's I guess), asked me how old I am .... I told her and she said,'Oh, I am so amazed. I would never have guessed.'

I was really pleased and gave a big smile, till she continued,

' I hope I look as good as you when I am your age.' :Sad::Sad::Sad::Sad:
