The fan on our Sargent power supply unit is on continually even if we're stationary - should it do this? Makes a constant hum and gets on our nerves a bit.

Temperature controlled cooling fan with variable speed.
The fan does not run if the unit is cool.

overloaded causing overheating or faulty temperature sensor !

We had the same unit and the fan ran all the time, never had any problems in 3 yrs.

Our fan on our EC200 Sargent unit runs continually and it does bug the wife but I'm too old to hear it.
