Only one for me:thumb: gravelines, love it nice village easily walkable, friendly folks, right on the harbour side Rudys restarunte just over the bridge , auchen and lidl within a mile, twenty mins to Calais £3 or £6 depending on time of year, most don't pay:Doh: water and emptying just around the corner, what more could you ask for:thumb:
Been loads of times still the first place we make for.
Photo out van window in morning::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

Not sure what the current state of the two Calais aires (Digue Gaston Berthe/Port, and nearby Bouleverd de la Resistance/Marina) is - there's rumours of closure while they build a new one.

There's always good old Cite Europe's MH parking area, and about half an hour from Calais is Gravelines, Rue du Port.

Don't know what time of year that photo was taken, never been at peak times, but never been more than half a dozen when we've been:thumb:

Hi Mo, we stayed at Gravelines Aires on arrival in France last week and then used Wissant Aires the night before returning, and a windswept and stimulating walk out to Cap Griz Nez. Both are about 10 miles from Calais

Another vote for Gravelines from us. It's between Calais and Dunkerque so convenient whichever you choose. Lovely view over the marina and nice town.

Hi Mo, we too like Gravelines. The only problem that I can foresee for you is that you will have to disconnect your trailer and use two bays there. Another alternative could be Le Touquet where there are two aires which could take the length of your rig if they are not too crowded. We prefer to use the aire at the Base Nautique in preference to the one at the Equestrian Centre. Le Touquet is about a 40 minute drive away from Calais.
Safe travels to you, Judy and Paul.
See you back in the UK sometime,
Brisey & Pamelaaar.

Brisey makes a good point there Mo so I would go for Wissant where you wouldn't need to disconnect if you didn't want to......... Griff
