New motorhome purchased last September, we noted the washroom door warping and the fact it would burst open when driving, it used to give the dog a whack and he wasn't best pleased!

Dealer has replaced the door but to us it looks as bad as the first one. According to the workshop they had a bit of a warranty battle with Swift as they said that warping was due to moisture and was acceptable.

What do you think?
The door is pictured closed, at least it doesn't whack the dog for which he is grateful to Swift but is this acceptable workmanship?

Not fit for purpose. Is the whole van going to warp?
How many other manufacturers suffer warping woodwork?

We've had 2 vans with internal doors.

Both were slightly twisted, we live with it. To have a non warping door would require heavier materials or non wood construction in my opinion.

Yours looks reasonably straight to me!!!!::bigsmile:

They are all like that sir!:ROFLMAO:

During the winter things are worse but usually improve in the better weather.

Here in Wales its a particular problem, the one year I left our RV with without a bit of heat and the doors warped and the wood insert on the fridge front split. The doors were much more substantial than you find in European motorhomes but still warped/swelled. That particular year though, it was a very cold and damp winter.

Thanks for the replies one and all, I'll just have to live with the doors imperfection.
Not easy for a man who tells his wife daily that he's perfect himself ::bigsmile:
