Hi folks I have a cobra alarm fitted to our MH and I have forgot how to set it so we can be inside with the sensors disabled while the door alarm is still active.
I have tried a few combinations of turning the key and pressing the button on dash. I did get it to work but forgot what combination I'd used :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I can't remember the model number but I'm sure it started with a G

Have you got 2 buttons on the fob?

If so press the lock button then press the other button within 30 secs to disable the internal sensors.

Hope this works.

Will give it a go in the morning as the neighbours might not be to happy if I try just now :ROFLMAO:
I seem to remember having to press the button on the dash for something.

Ah, yes, on later can bus systems you need to turn the ignition on- then off-press the button on the dash - then set the alarm.
I have both sets of instructions if you need them.

Lock with large button, press once on little button within 40 seconds to disable movement sensor, else dog sets off alarm when we leave him!

Hi thanks for the reply it was fitted in 2010, when you say turn on then off and set the alarm do you mean as John says with the fob.

Thanks again Gerry

it appears from other replies the sequence is model dependant....some say press arm twice, others say press arm them small button and another to turn on ign, press arm then the dash button.

Find the correct model and you will get the correct answer
if it does begin G then it will be a G193 or G198 or G368

The G193 has bango shaped fobs...
The G368 has square fobs
The G198 balloon shaped fobs

Not quite, it's different with a can bus system & original key fob.

And pictures of mine, may not be alarmed the same. My manual is not here, I seem to recall I was instructed to press button on dash but mine works as previously mentioned

I have tried a few of your suggestions and have it working
Turn ign off lock with fob then press button on dash and I managed to walk about for 5 mins without it going off.

Papajohn I assume a basic entry you would think it wouldn't have the internal movement sensors but mine does and if you don't set it they go off with in a minute. When I purchased the MH they demonstrated it working I had just forgot.

The same fobs are used with most of the Cobra alarms but the operation is different according to model & wheather it is on a canbus or not.
Try these.

Don't know why but the other set of instuction wont load, If anybody wants them for the 4600 series alarms you can PM me

If it is any help I have a Cobra 4800/4900CAN (not sure which because the manual is for both). It uses the original Fiat central locking remote rather than having a separate one. With mine you press the button on the dash within 5 seconds of switching the ignition off and keep it pressed until the red LED on the button flashes. Then you activate the alarm by pressing the remote's button.

I have an easier way - just pull the cab side curtains and popper them up at the front - that covers the sensors!!! I suspect that is peculiar to Adrias though.

Thank you! How fortuitous! I was just reading this thread when the alarm went off - that's the second time this week - also only the second time since I brought the new van home 5 weeks ago.

I wondered what the right hand button was for, and also if there was a way of setting it without the movement sensor as the dog set it off while I was emptying the loo the other week.

Some years back I had a motorhome without an alarm and I put a motion sensor alarm in it. When I changed the van I found the alarm kept going off as the windows were lower and one of the neighbourhood cats was setting it off when it strolled along the top of the garden wall. So I stopped using it. I'm wondering if that is happening again.

So I have just re-set the Cobra alarm and then pressed the right hand button. Hopefully that will stop it disturbing the neighbours again. If not I'll have to see which alarm it is and ask for more help. ::bigsmile:

The Cobra alarm fitted both to the 2010Adria Coral we had and the Burstner we now have work the same way which is: Press the large button on the remote once to lock everything and arm the alarm. Then press the large button again, twice. That disables the movement sensors inside the van - works whether you are inside or outside and the alarm will NOT sound if you move around inside, or leave Cuddly Canine in alone. Then to disable the alarm and return the system to neutral, press the small button on the remote once.
You have a red light on the dashboard which will flash when the system is set in either state. If you leave the van with the alarm set and return to find that light flashing rapidly it indicates that something has triggered the alarm so check the lockers etc to see if intrusion has been attempted!

Hope that helps, which it could do if your Cobra is the same as mine!
