Although I used to think I would never part with my RMB, am very tempted with this. Since the wing feathers have grown back and we are able to travel again with no restrictions I would love this to tour the US and ship back later.

That is very very very nice. I would love something like that.

It would certainly turn heads when arriving on a campsite.

However the huge overhang may make getting out of a lot of petrol stations a problem :ROFLMAO:

I'll buy your RMB Dave...

Then, when you get back to the UK with the Airstream, if you regret your choice, I will give you back your RMB in exchange for the Airstream.

You can't lose!

Looks fantastic and with a building site transformer 240v - 110v you wouldn't have to swop out any of the electrics.

Wow that's a beauty.
Only ever seen two of these in all my travels one was in Oregon when we were on our 3 year trip touring the states. The couple were fantastic very friendly to us touring Brits spent some time in their van it was beautiful and they were very proud. The other was at Chester CC that couple were just the opposite not friendly at all. Actually I have seen a third but for some reason I'm convinced it had a tag axle that was at Americana about 5 years ago. Overhang wouldn't bother me but how the hell do you keep it clean and shiny.:winky:

The thing that ticks the boxes for me is that unlike many of the Airstreams which have a petrol engine and built on a pickup truck chassis, this has the Cummins 5.9 diesel and is built on a proper truck chassis. The rarity value of this means that if looked after it will never depreciate. Am really really tempted.

Hell....Thats the problem. You know as I do there is not many motorhomes that you could say with confidence "I would swap my RMB for that". This is the exception. My RMB would give a good return on the original investment, but how the hell do you put a price on that Airstream ? It was $160000 new in 95 plus the options. Its as new now, so whats it worth. Perhaps 50000 Euros in Germany on a good day, but would I want to sell it ?. Who knows.

Has Snowbird got a large overhang????.....and if he has why is the danger limited to petrol stations? ::bigsmile:

Dave......STOP!!!

You've only just had the upholstery (or was it carpets?) done on the RMB!!!

Look at the upholstery in that Airstream....what is that....pastel blue? I'd spill my coffee all over that within a week.

Besides...that's just not your colour. You'd have to have it refurbished again! :roflmto:

Hi pal, I had the carpets taken out and vinyl flooring fitted. Then had the upholstery done in half leather pastel blue with matching curtains. Its my colour, goes with the mohair suits :thumb:.
